It gives me great pleasure to be given the opportunity to contribute a message for the Asia Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization( APOSHO) homepage. We just concluded a very successful APOSHO 23 Annual Conference in Singapore. We wish to convey our congratulations to the organizers of APOSHO 23 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Tan Jin Thong for their splendid effort and dedication.

APOSHO 24 Annual Conference is destined to be an important milestone and a premier event as it will be held concurrently with the XVlll World Congress on Safety and Health at Work hosted by the Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency (KOSHA) in Seoul, Korea from 29 June to 2 July 2008.

	I am absolutely certain APOSHO 24 Annual Conference will, in particular, provide to:
	Accelerate the development of coherent National Long-Term Occupational Safety and Health strategies in each country.
	Achieve stronger tripartite cooperation in the prevention of Occupational accidents and diseases.
	Form a strategic alliance and sustainable partnership in OSH
	Share and learn experiences on OSH Management from fellow participants.

APOSHO is a coalition of some 26 countries and 35 organizations with shared commitment in the management of Occupational Safety and Health. The mission is to provide OSH leadership for change and promote safe working environment for the employees at work. APOSHO is today recognized as the leading and most influential voice on issues of OSH. It was established in August 1985 in Singapore with representations from Australia, India, Philippines Malaysia and Singapore.

I would urge you and your organizations to seriously take the opportunity to gather for this rare event in Seoul for the APOSHO 24 Annual Conference which will be held concurrently with the XVlll World Congress on Safety and Health at Work.
