1) The Chairman welcomed all the members and observers

2) Each member Country's representative was invited to report on OHSMS in their
specific countries under the headings :-

a) Has there been an increase ? / decrease ? in the use of OHSMS ?
b) Which industries use OHSMS the most ?
c) What incentives are there to use OHSMS ? Commercial ? Financial ?
d) Have there been any new Standards ? new Systems ?
e) Who does the audits ?
f) Who certifies the auditors ? How ?
g) Do the same auditors do audits of all of OHSMS / QMS / EMS / RMS ?
h) Have there been any Integrated MS developed ?
i) Any other OHSMS issues

The oral reports were very comprehensive and informative.

3) NILP (Vietnam) proposed :-

a) that an APOSHO member organisation organise and preside as Organising Chairman
of an OHSMS workshop/training course to act as a mechanism for all OHSMS knowledge
and experience in APOSHO members can be fully exchanged

b) that the program's objectives / contents be designed and specified in a Program Plan
for consideration by APOSHO members during the next 12 months before APOSHO 19
in Malaysia. The meeting welcomed the excellent proposal by Vietnam.

The meeting RESOLVED that Vietnam be asked to prepare a Program Plan for the workshop
and/or training course with proposed financial funding proposals included.

On that positive note, the Chairman closed the meeting at 15:05
