The 15th APOSHO Committee Meeting

a. Membership Screening Committee

Three organizations applied for the membership.

Nepal Ministry of Labor is accepted as an Associate Member on condition that they participate
in the 16th APOSHO Conference.
Application from Pakistan Labor Federation (PLF) and Institution of Occupational Safety
and Health (IOSH) from the U. K. were suspended due to lack of documentation and remains
to be decided at the 16th Conference.

2 persons were nominated as Honorary members.

Jim Whiting, former Chairperson of National Safety Council of Australia
M. Nomiyama, former President of Japan Industrial Safety and Health Association

Dr. Soekarno, Honorary member from Indonesia was deceased.

b. Constitution Review Committee

Not opened this time.

c. Technical Committee

KOSHA (formerly known as "Korea Industrial Safety Corporation")
introduced the contents of APOSHO homepage and requested member countries to nominate
each focal point.

Every committee members praised KOSHA for setting up the home page and expressed
their readiness to cooperate.


d. Occupational Health and Safety Management System Committee

NSCA will make draft OHSMS standards for the Asia-Pacific region and put them
on the APOSHO web site.

APOSHO members are expected to show their opinions on the APOSHO web site.
